2000 – foundation of the company K-1
Dreamers who want to create their own car, there is probably in every country. But few want to create something of their own, you also need to have the finances and expertise. Among these was also lucky Dick Kvetnansky racer from Slovakia who wanted to create a supercar that would be consistent with its own notions of a good car.
The first attempt to create a car codenamed K-1 ( "Kvetnansky, the first model") and failed. According to the authors, it was simple and easy to open sports car, which had a welded tubular frame and external panels made of fiberglass. The engine and transmission were set by the customer. But gathered in the backyard of a car of unknown make nobody bought.
Then Dick came up with the bright idea: to sell at full car kit and car – assembly kit car, which would cost less but require the customer's abilities to work with keys and tools. To create a machine gone almost all the accumulated finances, but sold the car badly. Dick began working on a new machine, more modern and not a cottage.
2002 – K-1 Attack Roadster
From the idea to create the first production car it has been almost two years. At the heart of the design is Attacks welded frame of steel pipes, which are attached to the double wishbone independent suspension front and rear wheels with springs placed horizontally, and the external body panels are made of fiberglass again. supercar was designed by a friend of Dick, Zhurazhom Mitro. Catchy and in our days, in the early 2000s, it looked absolutely incredible.
An interesting feature of the design of the K-1 steel sticking out of the upper body on display Strut. Removable plastic roof consists of three sections and is easily hidden in the luggage compartment, turning a closed car in a convertible. Initially behind the driver planned to place vysokooborotisty K20A engine from the Honda Accord, but negotiations with the representation of Honda Motors have reached an impasse, and instead of the Japanese motor under the bonnet is placed Ford 3-liter Duratec V6 engine from the line, borrowed from the Mondeo model.
Fully aluminum heart of the machine has an output of 240 hp, coupled with a small overall mass attacks (total 990 kg) made it possible to exchange the passport "hundreds" in just 5 seconds! From machines brand Ford borrowed not only the engine. Thus, the transmission and the instrument panel took on the Mondeo, and the steering and suspension arms in the already shared focus. But do not forget that most sell K-1 – kit cars, which means that customers can equip the machine any of the items on their own, just to have enough finances.
So, the customer can ask to install in his car another engine, and the only limit to the imagination were the dimensions of the engine compartment. In addition, you can put a racing sequential gearbox or even order a number of outer panels of carbon fiber to lose a few kilos from the curb weight of the supercar.
The price of basic kit is supplied in a separate box and the motor housing should not exceed 20 thousand dollars, but for the maximum stocked roadster could ask for and more than 100 000. It all depends on the client's ambitions and purse: K-1 Attack could be a pleasure cabriolet for the amateur of rare cars and sports cars, devouring kilometers of racing tracks.
Almost immediately Kvetnansky agreed and the sales of its cars in the US market and created an official representation of the K-1 in the USA. Appeared and a private dealer, who conducted customs clearance and maintenance of automobiles, which, by the way, have earned the respect of American enthusiasts, and professional publications. So, Attack tested journalists from «Motor Trend», who pointed out that, despite some flaws (among selected magazine cons were inconvenient location CAT scenes and electric doors, which is not allowed to open the machine with discharged battery), the car has great potential.
Car sales in the US market continued for about two years, after which the dealer simply disappeared with the money, and Dick was almost without finance. But even in such difficult conditions Kvetnansky continued to bring your car, and for the years of release was modified suspension, a new fuel tank, and the frame has been reinforced in order to cope with more powerful engines and heavy.
Taught by bitter experience, Kvetnansky decided to leave the US market, focusing on sales of attacks in Europe. In 2008, K-1, has signed a cooperation agreement with Audi AG, for which a number of units of the machine had to finalize with the engineers group. So K-1 were able to establish in their offspring, 4.2-liter V8 FSI, borrowed from the Audi RS4 and develops power of 450 hp Weighing a little more than one ton of this car accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds, with a top speed of 270 km / h.
Under such a powerful engine had to be revised suspension geometry and produce almost all the external elements of the body of carbon fiber.
In 2011, Dick decided to curtail production, despite a steady income. Finalization of the machine took up too much time and money, so the license for the release of the machine together with equipment for the production were sold to businessman Aloshe carcasses.
2011 – Foundation of Tushek & Spiegel
Carcasses – a famous racing driver in Slovenia, which is still in the mid-90s opened a small repair shop and custom car tuning. Having secured financial support Jacob Spiegel, a businessman from Austria, carcasses engaged in finalizing the creation Kvetnansky. Officially, the mark is registered in Austria, but it has positioned itself as a manufacturer of supercars from Slovenia.
2012 – Tushek Renovatio T500
From the construction of the first prototype to release the serial car passed just a year. New Slovenian firms, as well as K-1, is the engine of the Audi RS4, boosted to 450 hp using a reinforced crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods from a tuning firm MTM lineup. The pair worked with him a 6-step "mechanics", but the customer can order and robotic gearbox with two clutches Audi S-Tronic, including gearshift paddle shifters. With such an arsenal T500 accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 310 km / h.
Creating design Renovatio, the designers used the image of attacks, which added several changes. There was stiff and folding roof, removing that, you can turn the car in a roadster. At the same time, the car was developed aerodynamic body kit consisting of a new front and rear bumpers, adjustable front splitter, rear diffuser and rear wing on the edge of the engine compartment. All this together has allowed to significantly increase downforce prototype that influenced the improvement of the car dynamics and handling.
At the heart of the Slovenian supercar – rigid tubular frame of chrome-molybdenum steel, combined with the safety cage. To fasten the frame independent suspension front and rear wheels on the forged aluminum double wishbone and outer body panels are made of reinforced carbon fiber composite material. This design has reduced superpenalty weight to 1 133 kg, with a small length of only 4.2 m, the machine has a mid-weight distribution in a ratio of 47/53% in favor of the rear axle.
Special mention deserves the brake supercar. To improve safety on the road used perforated ventilated brake discs made of ceramic composite materials, resistant to wear and overheating, a diameter of 390 mm front and 370 mm at the rear, allowing the stopping distance from 100 km / h is less than 30 meters!
The starting price for the T500 was 450 thousand dollars – in the "basic package" is equipping the car with leather interior trim carbon fiber and aluminum, high-end audio system, air conditioning and electric windows and seats.
2014 – Tushek Renovatio T600
Two years after the premiere of his first model the company produced Aloshy Touschek expansion of the model range. The announcement was made at the supercar show Top Marques Monaco and equipped with all the same 4.2-liter Audi FSI, which brought power to 620 hp by a mechanical compressor with intercooler Eaton. Together with them are 7-step "robot" with paddle gearshift paddles, and cope with the torque transfer to the rear axle helps self-locking limited slip differential.
In connection with the increased loads of engineers has been revised kinematics of the front and rear suspensions, as well as the frame has been strengthened. Along the way, through the use of a number of parts finish of carbon fiber and Kevlar supercar managed to reduce the weight of 1 120 kg.
As before, the car is a mid-engined roadster rigid removable roof, which can be easily hidden in the luggage compartment. From zero to "hundreds" T600 accelerates in less than 3.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 330 km / h! The price of the car in the company did not advertise, but, according to some experts, it is more than 500 000 dollars.
2015 – Tushek Forego T700
Special mention deserves the first own design company, supercar Forego. Named in honor of the breed racehorses, this car was conceived Touschek in 2008, when the company still does not even exist! From idea to construction of the first prototype has been more than 5 years, and the only official photograph T700 prototype dates back to the year 2012.
We know that Forego will have a completely new carbon fiber monocoque, which will fix the carbon fiber exterior panels, and the suspension of the front and rear wheels will double wishbone independent. According to preliminary data, the supercar weight should not exceed a ton.
Like its predecessor, T700 equip a proven 4.2-liter Audi V8 FSI, which, according to the index, will develop the capacity of about 700 hp, and a 7-speed robotized transmission with two clutches. Mass production of the machine has not been started, but, according to some sources, in a series of car should start in late 2015. What will come of this venture, we learn later, but for now heartily wish the development team to cope with this difficult task, and introduce a new generation of Slovenian supercar.
