Mercedes-AMG plans to release no more than 2000 GT R

Mercedes-AMG GT R, recently presented at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood, will be released in a limited number of copies.

According to Autocar, Mercedes can limit the production of new items to 2000 cars. This decision was made to give the Mercedes-AMG GT R the status of exclusivity.

The novelty is positioned as a road variant of the racing car AMG GT3. It has an aggressive front bumper with AMG Panamericana radiator grille, as well as a number of new components made of carbon.

The performance is met by the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, which produces 585 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox with a double clutch, which allows the car to accelerate from a place to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds. The maximum speed is about 320 km / h.
