It has long been rumored that the American company is preparing a more powerful version of the Focus RS, which will receive the name Focus RS500. Perhaps, it was noticed during the tests in Germany on the famous Nurburgring track.
In the photo you can note the enlarged openings in the front of the car, as well as the slightly modified spoiler. In general, the hatchback looks like a regular Focus RS, which is not surprising, since the main changes are expected inside the car.
First of all, the engine must be modified. No details, but it certainly will be more powerful than the 2.3-liter EcoBoost. At the same time, the weight of the car will be reduced, which in total will reduce the acceleration time from the place to 100 km / h from 4.7 to 4.2 seconds. This will be enough to compete with the updated Mercedes-AMG A45.
If Ford really plans to release such version of Focus RS, then, probably, we will see it at the end of this year or early next year.
