The prototype of the updated sedan Kia K3, also known as Kia Forte,
Was caught somewhere in South Korea. This time there was no disguise.
As we can see, the design has received quite subtle changes. They touched the bumpers and lights. Also, the design of the radiator grille has changed slightly.
It is reported that under the hood of this option is a familiar 1.6-liter turbodiesel, producing 136 hp. (100 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. Optionally, the Korean company will offer a 7-speed automatic transmission with a double clutch. The source notes that the American version of the Kia Forte is likely to receive a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine, borrowed from the new Elantra (bundle for the US). This unit generates up to 128 hp. (94 kW) and 211 Nm (156 lb-ft), while being connected to the above-mentioned gearbox.
As expected, Kia K3 will be presented before the end of this year, and the North American fellow we will see in early 2016. The model also has a European version, sold under the name Cerato. True, it is implemented only in Russia. What will be new in it, is not yet known.
