The line of models of the new generation Chevrolet Cruze continues to grow. After the sedan and hatchback, it replenished with a hybrid version, which recently hit the camera lens of auto spies.
A slightly disguised prototype was seen during tests in the US. It has a familiar design, but is simpler than the Cruze RS. Camouflage hides a lot of details, but we see an updated front bumper and side skirts. The rear part has slightly changed. In the cabin, most likely, will be all that we saw in the normal model.
Technical specifications are still kept secret, but rumors say that under the hood is located 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine from the Volt or 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine from the Malibu Hybrid. Regardless of this, the configuration will also receive lithium-ion batteries and at least one electric motor.
The Cruze Hybrid is likely to be introduced this spring. On sale, it is expected at the end of this year or early next year.
