Korean company Kia is preparing a station wagon based on the new Optima sedan. The model was first caught during the tests.
From the design point of view, the novelty will receive a number of solutions from the concept SPORTSPACE, while it is expected that the carrying capacity will grow from 503 to 560 liters in comparison with the sedan. On the one hand, this is good, but on the other hand, competitors like the Renault Talisman Estate572 liters, and the Skoda Superb Combi as much as 660 liters.
Note that the photo is not a GT version, since it has only one exhaust pipe. Under the hood, most likely is a 1.7-liter diesel engine with 141 hp. (104 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft). Kia also can offer the Optima Sportswagon with a 2.0-liter atmospheric unit, as well as a GT version with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a power of 245 hp. (180 kW) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft).
The first station wagon Optima is likely to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016.
