Jeep tests the “rocket” Grand Cherokee Trackhawk


The American company is preparing a high-performance version of the SUV with an engine Hellcat. Recently, he was noticed during the tests.

The masking hides the front part of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, behind which lies an updated bumper and probably a radiator grille. The SUV will also receive additional air intakes to help cool the engine. Under the hood is located 6.2-liter V8 supercharged, which is installed in the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcat.





It’s not clear yet whether Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will get the same performance as its counterparts. They V8 gives up to 707 horsepower (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm). In any case, the novelty will be more powerful than the 6.4-liter Grand Cherokee SRT, offering 475 hp.

Entry to the market is expected in July 2017, which means that we will see the official presentation in a few months.
