The performance of the BMW X1 Plug-in Hybrid is answered by a hybrid powerplant including a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The latter can be charged from a normal household network. The electric motor transfers power to the rear wheels, while the ICE operates on the front axle.

Technical specifications are not yet disclosed, but it is rumored that the novelty will boast 224 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. Up to 100 km / h the crossover can accelerate in about seven seconds. The range is exclusively for electricity expected in the area of 40 km.
