Volvo starts production of a new crossover XC60

The start date of the assembly is timed to the anniversary of the brand: 90 years ago, on April 14, the very first OV4 model came off the assembly line in Gothenburg.

Volvo OV4, as recalled by , was released in 275 copies, while the XC60 is the best-selling model of the Swedish brand.

The second generation of the crossover was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. In Europe, the new XC60 will be the base D4 diesel engine with 190 hp. And a more powerful 235-strong D5. The line of petrol units will include T5 (254 hp) and T6 with a turbo (320 hp). In addition, the sale will go to the 407-horsepower hybrid version of the T8 Twin Engine.

Before the Russian market, the car will reach the end of this year. Assemblies and ruble prices will be announced closer to the start of sales.
