Skoda is preparing to launch a new model that will replace the Yeti crossover: in the market the novelty will appear under the name Karoq.
According to rumors, the premiere of the car will take place at a special event in Stockholm in mid-May. The fact that Karoq is currently being tested on public roads with virtually no camouflage is a confirmation of this. In the pictures published by Motor1 , the camouflage covers on the body are barely visible on the tail lights, and the hood and the front optics are partially covered with a white film.
As reported by “Avtomambler”, the basis of Karoq is the same modular architecture on which Audi Q2 and Seat Ateca are built. With the co-platform Karoq will also divide the line of engines: it will include gasoline engines with a power range from 125 to 220 hp, and diesel engines from 120 to 184 hp. In addition, a hybrid modification will appear on the European market.
To date, the Skoda Yeti of the Nizhny Novgorod assembly is on the Russian market. Prices for the model start from 1 069 000 rubles.
