Opel put on the conveyor a completely new crossover

In the Spanish Zaragoza, the production of the Opel Crossland X model was launched.

“Crossland X is an important model for the conquest of the European market,” – said the head of the company Karl-Thomas Neumann.

The novelty, which will take a step below the Mokka, is inferior to it in size: the length of the crossover is 4 212 mm, the width is 1,765 mm, and the height is 1,590 mm. At the same Crossland X got one of the most capacious trunks in the class: the volume of the luggage compartment is 410 liters, and the sliding rear sofa allows to increase the useful space by another 100 liters.

The crossover is equipped with an 8-inch display, a keyless access to the passenger compartment and starting the engine with a button, heated steering wheel, blind zone monitoring systems and road sign recognition, cruise control, a rear view camera, parking assistant and a collision warning system with emergency braking. The range of engines included a basic 81-horsepower petrol unit with a capacity of 1.2 liters, a turbo engine of the same capacity with 110 and 130 hp, as well as a 1.6-liter diesel engine in two power variants – 99 and 120 hp. The car will be available exclusively with front-wheel drive. A box is a “mechanic” or an “automaton”.

Sales of the new crossover will start in the European market in the summer.

As reported by “Avtomambler”, by 2019 at the facilities of the same enterprise in Spain will produce a new generation of Opel Corsa.
