The Accounting Chamber of the Russian Federation issued an order to the state-owned company Avtodor in connection with the disruption of the construction of the third and fourth sections of the Central Ring Road. The order must be fulfilled by December 30, 2017, otherwise Avtodor may be deprived of financing, RNS reports.
“In case of failure to comply with this requirement by the collegium, the Accounts Chamber, in agreement with the State Duma, may decide to suspend all types of transactions on its accounts, that is, funding will be practically stopped,” Valery Bogomolov, the Auditor of the Accounting Chamber, said at the final board of the Ministry of Transport.
Recall, CKAD is a project of a new ring road around Moscow. Initially, it was planned that the entire highway would be ready for the 2018 World Cup. The project is divided into several sections, for each of which there must be a separate contractor. The entire project is overseen by Avtodor. Currently, only three sites are under construction, and the agreement for the fourth has not even been agreed upon. In this regard, Minister for Public Administration Affairs Mikhail Abyzov speaking in the Ministry of Transport said that in 2018 the construction of the Central Ring Road will not be completed, and today it became known about the issued instruction “Avtodor”.
