Chevrolet presented a retro-concept Chevelle Slammer


Chevrolet tried to combine the best of different time in the project Chevelle Slammer. The concept is based on the original 1969 Chevelle body, but under the hood is a modern engine.

In particular, the specialists of the American company installed the LT1 engine, which is used on the Corvette. Thanks to a number of modifications, the unit generates an additional 75 horsepower (56 kW), which in the end allows it to boast of 535 hp. (399 kW). In addition, the concept receives a modern four-speed transmission SuperMatic 4L75-E, which is capable of distributing 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque to the wheels.


It is impossible not to mention modern wheels (18-inch front and 20-inch rear), air suspension, and a number of minor cosmetic changes. In this case, the concept retains the classic look of the original model.
