2008 – Artega GT

Klaus opens Artega GmbH unit of Paragon holding company whose purpose is the development of a sports car. Build the first prototypes, which is run in all the most important thing – the idea of a mid layout, suspension and powertrain.
Particular attention is paid Frers design of the car. At an early stage of implementation Klaus shared his doubts about creating a unique image of the machine with Alberhtom Hertz, author of the famous BMW 507. He introduced Frers with Henrik Fisker, in due time the former designer of BMW and Aston Martin, then departed in free swimming and founded his own brand.
Persuade Fisker cooperation was possible only after permission to use the latest wind tunnel of the University of Stuttgart for their own purposes. As a result, the Dane drew futuristic shape of the car later received a proper name GT. Pre-production, "Arteaga" was presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2008, but the financial crisis has had almost put an end to this venture, and in the 2009th Frers was forced to withdraw from the management of the concern Paragon.
Fortunately, the car owners are interested in the new group – Mexican company Tresalia Capital, which is, for example, one of the main shareholders of the Czech brewery "Crown". Boss Tresalia Capital Maria Asuncion Aramburusabala (that's the name!) Has in its collection a few classic cars, and so began to quickly revive a tiny company, making out a lot of potential in it. In the chair of the control villages Wolfgang Tsibart previously had time to work for several years as head of technical development center BMW, graduate engineer and a specialist in the organization of production, and the head of the strategic direction became Peter Mueller, who had worked at Porsche.
When Frers has collected nine serial Artega GT cars feature low build quality and reliability. According to the memoirs of Tsibart, the first samples of different "childhood diseases", therefore, parts lists, sent back for revision, and sometimes exceed the length of normal A4 sheet! However, for Tsibart this task was an interesting test of their own strength and capabilities as a leader and as a designer.
First of all, he thought, how to ensure the car sale. New boss bought out owners of their vehicles by offering them a free replacement of the "old» Artega GT on an upgraded version of the car to get rid of the possible negative reviews from critics. Already 60 vehicles were sold in 2010. But enough about the management – it's time to go, and the machine itself.
What is our current heroine? The mid-engine design based on the German supercar is spatial tubular frame made of aluminum alloys, which are hung on the exterior body panels of carbon fiber. This mass Artega GT was stopped at around 1170 kg. For frame mounted levers independent suspension front and rear wheels equipped with sport shock absorbers Koni. Within the base, immediately before the rear wheels, almost behind the driver and passenger, the engine is located on the Volkswagen Passat R36 in a charged version. But the dynamic stabilization system, which received the name of the ASP (Artega Stability Program) is designed to assist the driver in all driving situations and lets you choose from four operating modes: Off (the system is completely turned off – in the firm argued that to cope with the car in this mode can only experienced pilot), Race (included only system protivobuksovki), Sport and Normal (ABS and ESP tuned to different operation modes).
2011 – Artega SE
Already in October 2010 Tsibart went on increasing in the company's board of directors, and his place was taken by Peter Müller. Since then, the company has dramatically changes the course of development, refuses to gasoline engines and replaces them with new-fangled electric motors.
Geneva Motor Show 2011 For the year, the company presented its new electric car, named SE (Sport Electric). The front and rear axles are independently driven by its own electric motors developing a total of 380 liters. from. and more than 800 Nm of torque. This supercar accelerates to "hundreds" faster than its gasoline counterpart – in just 4.3 seconds, with top speed all-wheel drive SE has already reached 250 km / h. For engine power throughout the chassis placed 16 traction battery packs of lithium-polymer batteries, and for better distribution of weight on the axes 12 of them are located in the rear of the chassis, and four – the front. 2016 – Artega Scalo
As with most supercars, the Achilles heel of news became mileage on a single charge – with the careful use of the gas pedal it will be about 300 km and if the pressure on the whole trigger and even use auxiliary electronic systems – is reduced to 200. In this case, charging of the conventional network It will be nearly eight hours, but even in the specialized charging stations with increased amperage charge "full tank" will be almost 90 minutes. The company announced, and the starting price – 150 000 euros, but who want to buy such an expensive toy almost was not, and in 2012 after a search of investors the company began bankruptcy proceedings.
But the story does not end with the brand. Four years later, at the Geneva Motor Show unveiled a new model of the revived company, which received a proper name Scalo. However, despite the new name, it is just an improved version of the SE. Remain the same aluminum tubular frame and a number of external carbon fiber body panels supercar, a major difference from its previous iterations have become modified front and rear bumpers, a new adjustable rear wing, depending on the speed and LED optics. The finishing touch to the portrait of Scalo steel forged 20-inch alloy wheels, the design of which has been specially developed for this project. Inside, more changes: now they can meet a multifunctional steering wheel, instrument panel with LCD display, wireless charging for smartphones, as well as a new sound system and Hi-Fi with 13 speakers.
Above the rear wheels is located a block from two asynchronous electric motors with water cooling Voltabox, total outstanding on-mountain power of 390 kW (530 hp..) And a torque of 780 Nm with a weight of 30 kg each. As a result, compared to the SE, the maximum speed of a novelty has remained unchanged – 250 km / h (and if the battery is discharged below 25 percent, the rate will be artificially limited to 200 km / h), but the acceleration to "hundreds" fell by almost a second – up to 3.6 seconds.
The mass of new products – is 1585 kg, the bulk of which takes on a lithium-ion traction battery capacity of 37 kWh, which is a stock car travel is already 400 km. To smooth the load on sudden acceleration helps set the standard battery of supercapacitors. With fast charging station can charge the car from zero to a maximum of just over an hour. However, if you charge the car from an ordinary wall outlet, you still have to wait 10 hours for "refueling" …

Artega brand car production is conducted in specially built for the project car factory located in the suburb of Delbrück, Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia.
