At the Geneva Motor Show, the Japanese company introduced the Lexus LC 500h with an advanced hybrid system.
The power system has a 3.5-liter V6 engine, an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries. The ICE has 295 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque, while the electric unit is complemented by 60 horsepower. The combined capacity is 355 horsepower. Lexus does not publish detailed specifications, but it is known that acceleration from a place to 100 km / h takes less than 5 seconds.
For comparison, the LC 500 has an atmospheric 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque. It connects to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, which allows the coupe to develop a speed of 96 km / h in 4.5 seconds.
